Frizzy asian hair?

I just got a haircut (layered with side bangs) %26amp; it was really straight when I got out of the salon. But when I washed my hair, my hair was frizzy %26amp; curving! But my bangs were still straight.

What is a way to help straighten my hair without using a flat iron or chemically damaging it? Like putting mayonnaise in my hair to straighten %26amp; soften it up or something.

People have different hair types. Curly, Wavy , frizzy, Straight, Flat, Volumized.

You cant really change your hair type with out damaging it in someway. it's just how you were naturally made.

I remember when i would get out of the shower and wonder why my hair wasn't straight like the other girls. That's because my hair is wavy..

Try using a silicone serum to calm down your hair. You can get it at any Sally's Beauty Supply.

And to keep it healthy use a deep conditioning once a week for at least 20 mins (or even better 4hours) with a shower cap or towel wrapped around your head to keep in the heat in. The THOROUGHLY rinse it.

By the way dont ever use mayonnaise on your hair.

Or a hot oil treatment or blow dry straight.

waves are pretty! But anyway, Loreal makes a shampoo for people who want straighter hair. You could try that. There are also lotions out there to rub between the palm of your hands and smooth over your hair.

You could also try washing your hair at night and seeing if it relaxes while you sleep a little.

You probably just aren't used to it. I bet it is pretty!

I have the same problem. I think there's no other way without using iron...I use iron. However, good luck if you find any other option.

I'm Asian too %26amp; sometimes my hair gets a little frizzy if I don't use a conditioner after shampooing. My favorite conditioners are Pantene for extra body or Joico K-Pak conditioner if my hair is feeling dry.

After I blow dry my hair, I run a tiny drop of 100% jojoba oil or use a dab of Kiehl's Silk Groom to tame my hair.

These blow drying techniques are good too: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/article/0...
