what can i use if i want to do it on my own at home? which bleach can make my hair the lightest? im planning on going to a local beauty supply store at the mall.

OMG, I would totally not do it at home. But if you must, you would need to use a blue based bleach like Kaleidocolors and 30-40 volume bleach. Sallys Beauty Supply sells both of these. Don't forget to get a toner to eliminate the brassy tones. You will need a level 9 or 10 violet based toner. Best of luck to you.

Don't do it! With your dark hair the light highlights will make you look like you're going grey. You should have reddish highlights put in - PROFESSIONALLY.

I love it i want those same colors there called platinum high lights.I think you should get it done being that your hairs so dark.But if not you need a 20volume peroxide and you might have to strip your hair,or bleach it in sessions.To prevent damage

I really don't recommend bleaching, but if you must, DO IT AT A SALON. If you do it at home, your hair will end up looking like a mess and the color will be a gray-ish color. Bring in some pictures to the salon so they know what you want.

oh yuck that looks awful. please dont do it, your hair is too dark and it will be stripped with the bleach. you will ruin your hair and make it dry and maybe it wont go back to being healthy even after you cut it off or let it grow out.

if you must do it get it done professionally. take in pics of what you want.

DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR BLONDE!!! That is just disgusting thing to do. You are Asian, not white. Embrace your ethnicity. I am tired of Asian, Latinos, and Blacks trying to look more "white" by dying their hair blonde. It does not even look right. Whenever I see an Asian with blonde hair, I automatically loose all respect for that person. I beg you not to do it!!

Don't do it, especially at home. Since your hair is black, it will have to lift several levels and that could damage your hair. It would also make it a horrible orange color that you'd have to spend more money fixing.

But, if you're determined to do it, go to a salon. They can do it without you getting orange hair.
