I'm Asian, and I have a round face but I want to cut my hair short with bangs. Good idea or bad

I'm skinny, but I'm quite baby-faced. Its round, with cheeks my friends like to poke or pinch. I was told that short hair wouldnt match the shape of my face but I really want to have short hair and bangs. Is there a picture of someone with a round face and short hair that I could show to my mom so I could convince her? Preferably Asian please. Thanks!
