Guy getting straight, Asian hair?

I'm an Indian guy and I've been hesitant to grow my hair out bc it seems to want to get slightly curly or wavy. I have Asian guy and girl friends and I'm somewhat envious of their super straight, wispy hair. Is it because it's thin or what? Anyway I believe girls can treat their hair to make it straight, is that so? Is it reasonable for a guy to do this as well? What is the cost, and can it possibly be done at home since it seems like it would be embarassing to do at some salon?

K this is dorky but I watch some anime and I like the hair they have; some Asian guys actually do have hair like that too! So I kinda want mine to be that way too if it can be done. I'll be avoiding haircuts for a while and seeing how it pans out. Thx

If you feel like spending a bundle, you can do the Yuko chemical straightening treatment with a professional. Nothing else works like Yuko. Not embarrassing, but since you are a guy you will have to go super often or your hair will be straight with curly roots.

You should grow you hair slightly longer than normal (don't be afraid, you will have more to work with) and use a skinny (1 inch) Ceramic flat Iron and flat iron your hair after its washed and dried. Then use a blow drier to smooth it all out. It works like magic and should take no longer than 5 minutes.

I recommend the T3 Tourmaline sold at most really good beauty supply stores.

And no, you wont urn your scalp unless you hold it to your scalp. You want it on the hottest setting and to get as close as possible. The steam that comes out will be water vapor, so don't be afraid.

Just play with it using a comb and you will have the super straight and shiny hair of your Asian friends :-)

Anything is possible if you're willing to put the effort into it.

Ok. I think you need to get a hair reborn treatment in the hair salon. Don't worry. It won't be embarassing. I suggest you to try out some anti-frizzy hair mask too.

Ask for a hair rebonding, or a hair relax.

It's really not embarassing for you to walk in a salon and ask for it. Many guys nowadays are very well aware of their vanity, and it actually does them good! :)

So go for it! Ask and call salons who are willing to rebond your hair. It's not really that expensive. :D
