I'm asian and i have dry, poofy, wavy hair and i want it straight.. should i get a perm or rela

which would work better and turn out to be more pleasant?? something that would make my hair soft, silky and straight??

and if i go to a salon and ask, won't that be weird.. considering i'm asian asking for a straightening system???

- Go wavy! Read the book and visit the sites below about curly/wavy hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your wavy hair- be happy for life!

-Use a shampoo low in sulfates or one that contains none at all such as Devacurl's low poo. Some health food store have organic shampoos with no sulfates also. Sulfates dry out wavy/curly hair- it can be found in laundry detergent!!

- Use a small amount of shampoo (every couple days) on scalp as normal and rinse. Then spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- Experiment with different products because everyone's hair is different. I would reccomend a light hold gel and a leave in cream or condtioner. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally wavy hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Well a perm makes hair really curly...use a shampoofor dry hair that would also help support this style you want and ask your hair cutter at your salon, try a sraightener just in your home until you find the option you choose for your har...good luck閳界儵妯嗛埥?br>I'm asian and i have dry, poofy, wavy hair and i want it straight.. should i get a perm or relaxer?

No one cares about your race in a salon, only your hair texture. If it is similar to those of other people of color, you will be advised to get a relaxer to straighten out the natural curl or wave pattern. **DO NOT use any over the counter relaxers; see a professional. A perm does the opposite for people with straight hair who want it curly.

Well, you could use a hair straightener if you like to spend money you could use "CHI" it's about 100$ "Ghd" is a good but dangerous one so i wouldn't sugest it if you don't like to spend money you could by an "Andis" at wal-mart it's good and only 15$ or other ones make sure that they are "ceramic plates" not "ceramic coated" and use a heat protection cream. Although a perm would work too. And use a dove or sunsilk shampoo. And strip it every month (that means take all the chemicals out:take some baking powder and put a spoon in your shampoo not conditioner though)Also cold water makes your hair shiny. Good luck!

A relaxer works the opposite way for those who are not African American. What I mean is a perm will only make your hair more curly, while it would straighten out our hair. Get yourself a ceramic straightner they are expensive but they work. Also be sure to condition your hair vey well and keep it moisterized.

i'm asian too.n i'm a hairdresser.dont do perm you have a dry hair.will make it more dry.you should do some treatment, hairspa.if you want straight hair do rebonding or smoothing (straightening system).i suggest you..do rebonding first after that, you do some treatment.and if you have more time after 2 weeks do some hair manicure to make your hair more shiny and health.do the manicure once a month.relaxer you can do rarely.because if too much that make your hair oily.

Hehe, its not weird at all if you go ask for it! There's a variety of Japanese straightening systems that are amazing, expensive, but AMAZING. Look these up, you'll be impressed!
