How do I change my asian hair into softer hair?

Okay i am a 15 year old Asian boy who Is sick of his hair. I have been playing many water sports for years so Chlorine does damage my hair. I nartually have very thick hair and when I try american hair styles like long and messy kind of like that skater look it just doesnt have the same silk look to it. My hair looks frizzy most of the time, pretty rough and coarse, and it looks dry. I have tried putting mayo and olive oil in it. No real big difference occured. I use non frizz products (like Serum)and still only for around 15min does it not look frizzy. I am trying to find a way to transform frizzy, thick asian hair to soft silky hair. Please help me!

Have you considered or looked into the "Japanese straigtening system"? My Asian cousin had really frizzy hair (resembling a 'fro). She went to some Asian beauty salon which offered Japanese Straigtening System. Now her hair is really soft is silky. She has medium length hair and she told me it cost her about $300 to have it done. She had it done about a year ago or so..and her hair is still nice and straight and silky. You can read more about this technique from the URL I have provided for you... Good luck.

Get a thick conditioner made specifically for deep conditioning (Redken has one with Olive Oil, Neutrogena has a great hair mask). Put it on your dry hair and leave it on 15 minutes. Rinse it out and repeat twice weekly.

Also there's a thing called Hot Oil Treatments, made by V05. Worked wonders for me!

hey there~ why dont u try rebonding your hair in a salon... its a procedure to make hair really silky, shiny, smooth and super straight~ but this procedure will really make your hair flat~! so if u have a round big face, i wouldnt recommend it coz it will just make it seem bigger... u can go for ordinary hairstraightening instead in any salon.. but then again, if u think the chemicals for hairstraightening is too strong, then go for the milder hair relaxing treatment... okay?? i also heard that if u maintain a regular hot oil treatment everyweek, this will make your hair softer~ i am currently using olive oil for my hair, and so far i like the results... maybe it also depends on the brand of olive oil your using and how long u leave it on your hair~ i keep mine as long as possible covered with a plastic hair cap~ try it again...^^*
