I am a Filipina girl, my hair is medium length, I have black/dark brown hair. I want something new and different but I have no idea what color to try. Maybe highlights? Or my whole head?

I suggest that you try thin or medium thick sized caramel highlights, or brown depending on the color of your skin.

I've seen asian girls with red streaks in their hair. I thought they pulled it off really nicely. Maybe that would work for you.

maybe red?? highlights probably but definatly dont go blonde

why dont you try a lighter brown? that way its a change but not too drastic and you dont have to worry about clashing highlights.

i like the natural look myself......i personally think hair dye and makeup is for wemen who want to hide something...like a mask of some sort.....but I'm a different kind of guy...most guys like there wemen all painted up...and fake breasts...and wearing high heals so the wemen don't run away to quick.

Your so lucky to have pretty dark hair. Being naturally blonde I have always been jealous of Asian hairtypes. Anyway I LOVE LOVE when people w/dark hair like yours do the red highlights, or even blue. The colors seem to pop better with the darker hair. The blonde tips look nice to but you gotta have them done right.

I would try some dark red highlights to start off with, the color would provide a nice contrast to black hair.

You should get highlights, but because your hair is black you can do almost any color, so you could do like pink highlights or something if your ready to try anything....
