What hairstyles can I do with my asian hair that I've curled?

I can curl my hair, but I don't really know what to do with it except pull it back a little with a clip or pull it up halfway and secure it with a hairtie.

try that, or pin it up/put it in a pony tail and leave some spiral curls around your face.

if you have bangs i suggest you don't curl them,

that looks totally 90's and tacky.

I think caramel or shades of brown look best. Dark red or auburn might look good too. They will give you more dimension. Also, I suggest subtle highlights, noticeable but not strikes.

Either get cherry black highlights which are red in some shades of light and black in others, or get dark brown highlights

First of all, each different ethnicity has different hair. If you're not asian you will never have the same hair that they do. Asians have very interesting hair (and hard to cut!). Each individual hair is extremely thick and most of the time there isnt a whole lot of it. But I have had some asian clients with a TON of extremely thick hair. Also, their hair tends to grow out from the head at a 90 degree angle, which in turn makes it stick out in all directions. If you're looking for that type of hair a lot of it has to do with your hair cut and mainly product. Go to a nice salon and get your hair cut (bring a picture, that will ensure you get what you're looking for). the best way to get a lot of texture is to have your hair cut with a razor and blending/ thinning shears and make sure they texturize the hell out of it. My favorite product to make your hair stick up and add a lot of texture is Aveda's Hair Potion and then finish off with Jon English's Hair Modernizer (a sticky pomade)

EDIT: I speak from the side of some Asian friends I have that don't like the 'good Asian boy look.' I like them just the way they are in a way and don't say anything, but apparently they are under peer-pressure in some way and have made efforts to change. I'm in high school, and I hate spending a really long time trying to tame my hair in the morning after showering. I have black hair that grows very quickly and is very thick, wavy, frizzy, and dry.

I currently use Biolage shampoo and conditioner, but it doesn't really seem to moisturize my hair. I don't know if I should get my hair relaxed, try to use a different shampoo/conditioner, or what! I'm the only one in my family that has hair that is this crazy. I need help!

Any suggestions? Any shampoos that would moisturize my hair and make it manageable and not nappy or frizzy? I've tried quite a few of shampoos but I don't want to waste any more money.

Get a good haircut and use a new wet gel. It will tame your hair and make it more manageable.

if your problem is moisturizing your hair, try applying coconut oil. apply it an hour or two before taking a shower. Try doing this every other day or just twice a week. it will also help to manage your hair.

you should also look for other shampoo or conditioner that'll match your hair problem, maybe the one that you are using now doesn't fit you. Try mane and tail shampoo, they say its good but im not sure if it will fit you.

I suggest that you try thin or medium thick sized caramel highlights, or brown depending on the color of your skin.

why dont you try a lighter brown? that way its a change but not too drastic and you dont have to worry about clashing highlights.

Your so lucky to have pretty dark hair. Being naturally blonde I have always been jealous of Asian hairtypes. Anyway I LOVE LOVE when people w/dark hair like yours do the red highlights, or even blue. The colors seem to pop better with the darker hair. The blonde tips look nice to but you gotta have them done right.

You should get highlights, but because your hair is black you can do almost any color, so you could do like pink highlights or something if your ready to try anything....
