Well, I'm primarily azn with some caucasion....so I have thicker hair that is silky after brushed, with small amount of frizz.....my hair color is dark brunette, since I placed this "blonde-enhancer" spray in my hair as a mistake when I was five...and plus, my hair is naturally brownish-black anyways.....does anyone know any good trendy azn hair styles for medium length, thick, silky hair? thanks so much~ btw, I eventually plan to grow my hair out, since I'm sick of getting it cut into the old azn skool-gurl bob in the summer....I don't plan to dye my hair, ever!!! and no, I do not have bangs right now either, but it duznt matter to me...%26amp; my hair is currently slightly layered....so if you could help me, it would be much appreciated~

A low bun with a side swept fringe looks amazing on the asian look.

I don't really know but i'll try to give you some advice maybe get it thinned out professionally or get it cut shorter if you like long hair like myself try long slinky curls or flat iron it that might help but make sure you don't get it flat ironed too much because you could end up burning your hair out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing you would get any type of hair... from really coarse and curly to pin straight hair. I didn't know straight hair was a recesive gene though.

But really, i think you could get real curly and coarse, wavy, or that other type of hair that isn't wavy or straight, kind of mixed, or really straight hair.

Black hair is perfect for the Asian face. Some girls I know color their hair from dark blonde to dark brown, and they look good, too.

I guess Asian face and features are very flexible when it comes to different hair color.

Its not about nationality or country of origin but rather its more about skintone. Black hair will suit you if its your natural haircolor, but if you don't have that color naturally then it can wash you out or look too harsh. Black hair can br striking with tan skin, dark skin, or pale skin---since Asians can have any of those skintones.

MY hair is also EXTREMELY thick.Jus cause we got thick hair doesn't mean we can't do updo's. You can use hair spray and products like that. Somtimes you can do "The Poof" or some people call it a speed bump You can get your hair thinned though i dont reccomend if you have thick hair like me consider yourself lucky...but hey dont knock it till you try it.

Try pin curls into a bun. It's held in place by bobby pins and you can even get some spiral curls hanging out. I know this because I'm african american and my hair is really curly and thick too!! =]

first thing make sure your hair is a bit soiled fresh hair will not stay up......twist and pin or curl (hot rollers or curling iron...half up half down...all up in a high pony tail and pin random hairs make into curls or go straight or curl the ends with the iron...use spray before you curl...good luck

Thick hair is actually easier to get up into an updo than thin hair. As far as straight hair...again, no problem. A hairdresser will just use more hair products to make it "less silky" to stay in the updo longer. You can actually pick ANY updo and it will be ok.

I would start with a reputable chain salon, if you don't have anyone in the area to give you a recommendation. I would start in the local Mall Department Store. I would also ask other asians for their recommendations. Women are normally very happy to hear a compliment and I tell you where she gets her hair done.
